Here at Maven Ltd we are passionate about the Bakery and Food industry and we pride ourselves on great customer service and delivering great products and solutions for our customers. We aim to be the major supplier to the Bakery and Food Industries and also the largest provider of used machinery in the UK and Ireland.

Established in 2020, We have over 30 years’ experience in the Food and Manufacturing industry. We are a team of people with varied skills in many industries. Many of our sales team worked in bakeries and therefore have hands-on experience with the equipment we sell and the products you yourselves will be baking. We advise, we encourage new ideas and we want to see new businesses grow and develop.

For the last 8 years our focus has been maintenance in the food industry, from low care to high care production and packing machines and BRC Audit prep. With the knowledge we’ve built up during this time we made the bold decision to expand and grow our business into the sales and delivery of high quality bakery equipment and we can cater for all scenarios ranging from one-off small local bakeries to fully equipped automated plants.

Maven also works in partnership with the world’s leading equipment manufacturing groups and companies, who specialise in the sale, manufacture and supply of fully automated industrial production lines installed across the various baked goods sectors. These include, traditional and speciality bread & rolls lines, Pizza lines, flat bread lines, doughnuts and confectionery lines.

Maven provides direct UK and Ireland sales & consultancy services with the wider project and engineering support. As part of our wider support services Maven will provide exceptional after sale service and care solutions to our clients, including tailored preventative maintenance contracts.

We feel we have a vast range of engineering experience that we can use to support you whatever your situation or requirements. Meet The Team

Gavin Williams- Managing Director

Gavin started his career in the hospitality industry before moving into Technology and innovation then whilst on furlough he made the leap to set up Maven Ltd after seeing a gap in the market. Gavin has built a vast knowledge in many industries and roles which spans over 15 years, with an emphasis on a variety of different sectors. Gavin’s experience in excellent customer service and sales along with his developing experience in the bakery industry allows him to help customers from all types and sizes of businesses ensure they have the right equipment for the product and services they deliver.

Paul Terrence- Operations Director

Paul naturally focused his career in engineering straight from school, gaining the sought after engineering qualifications to work as a maintenance engineer for a large international filter manufacturing company for 15 years where he further developed skills and experience in design and build of bespoke machinery to continually improve the performance of production output as well as reducing waste. Since bringing all the skills and experience into the food industry, Paul has seen through many projects/installations that satisfied many well established food manufacturers.

Steve Rainbow- Technical Sales Director

Steve has spent 10 years in the pharmaceutical and food industries. From a maintenance engineer working his way through to senior management in engineering. He spent 5 years in the army where he learnt his Mechanical and Electrical skills. Working in a high-pressured environment, he thrives with pressure to succeed and produce high quality service. Steve is well known within the industry with his strong technical background and recognised as someone who is able to help bakers realise what they need to improve production and grow their business by utilising the best equipment available.

Sean Bown- Engineering Manager

Sean started his electrical apprenticeship straight from school as an electrical engineer working in a varied number of industries focusing on the food, rail and banking industries. He worked his way up to electrical test engineer, before going into testing full time. He later ran his own testing company which he managed for 7 years before selling up to work in the health industry at a private hospital where he oversaw the building of a brand new hospital and became the Head of Facilities covering everything from lighting to medical equipment. Sean joined Maven in 2019 and is now the Senior Maintenance Engineer.

Louise Gospel- Administrative Assisant

Louise has recently joined the Maven team to work alongside the office team to ensure the smooth running of the all office and administration duties. She has 17 years of experience working within administration and accounting. Most recently managing the UK office for a New Zealand scientific company, shipping testing equipment and machinery all over Europe. Josh Mosley- Maintenance Engineer

Josh started his engineering career when he left school, he got an apprenticeship within the food/packaging industry and spent 4 years there gaining his HNC. He then worked a further year on the packaging lines working on some high profile projects. Josh then went into the pharmaceutical industry when here he was given the daily management of a busy production line, were he was in charge of three other operators and ensured the production was up to the correct standards and volume. Joining Maven in early 2021 Josh is a fully qualified mechanical engineer and is currently completing all his electrical certifications. Josh will be out on the road supporting our customers with services, maintenance repairs and installations.

Delivery & Installation

We offer a range of delivery options to suit different equipment, different budgets and different sites. Delivery can be offered by our own fleet of specialist vehicles equipped with hiab cranes or tail lifts. Our own experienced delivery drivers can unload the equipment and transport into the bakery, removing packing and position as required. Ideally suited to large machines, awkward machines, difficult sites or orders of multiple machines, this service allows installation through windows, into basements, upstairs and into other areas with difficult access.

Smaller items and spare parts are offered for delivery by next day couriers.

Service & Maintenance

An Annual Service Contract from a Maven qualified Professional covers spare parts, labour, call outs and an end of year maintenance service visit aimed at checking the function and safety of all key components.  Machine uptime and smooth operation is ensured by identifying potential faults before they cause problems and replacing spare parts to rectify.

The Annual Service Contract offers you the following benefits:

  • Comprehensive maintenance with a Bespoke service plan
  • Preventative exchange of defined parts subject to wear and tear
  • Secure cost calculations
  • Security of investment

We can check the condition of your Assets and report of any findings.

Examination of the maintenance condition of the Assets and report of any findings.

Provide a detailed assessment and documentation of the technical condition of the Machines.

Carry out an electrical safety check.

If additional repair work should prove to be necessary, Maven can advise on the suitability of an Annual Service Contract or a repair/Remedial works can be billed separately.

Maven offers a maintenance and repair contract for machines that are still within the manufacturer’s warranty period, and beyond. This is a maintenance and repair contract that includes costs for any repairs that are necessary, in addition to the maintenance services.

The costs included as the labour and call out costs.

The Maintenance Contract is available as a three year or a five year extended cover agreement.
